Since becoming a member of the Magic Circle in 1999, Gary Stocker has built up a reputation among his peers as being one of the most creative and original magicians to be working in this country. His original routines are performed by other professional magicians across the globe; his famous interpretation of the nineteenth century ‘egg, lemon, walnut miracle’ has become a regular favourite among touring cabaret magicians (it was even performed recently by the fabulous Laura London on Penn and Teller’s new TV series, Fool Us) and his own ‘human cannon illusion’ was performed recently (2012) on television in Sweden by Charlie Caper, the 2009 winner of Sweden’s Got Talent and star of Sweden’s version of the hit TV show, The Magicians. Gary is also the consultant of choice for a number of national television and advertising agencies, who value his creative input on their projects.

Gary learned his craft as a street performer in Covent Garden, working alongside some of the greatest magicians in the world, including Nick Nicholas and the legendary Gazzo. It is here that he learned and perfected the art of crowd control, which has made Gary a highly sought-after trade show magician.

Gary also has a law degree from St John’s College, Oxford University, and is the founding director of Proven Media, a successful online marketing agency, whose client list includes Saatchi, Sony, Universal Music and Kenkoh.
